Hi there! I am Trisha Mitchell, owner and operator of Sweet Pie’ssibilities. Unlike most traditional bakers, I did not grow up baking pies alongside my grandmother. Still, I could always see and taste the passion she put into everything she baked.

It wasn’t until Thanksgiving of 1991 that I began to experience that same passion; when I baked my first sweet potato pie. My family and I had just moved from Texas to Des Moines, Iowa in July. With two toddlers and a newborn, we did not have the energy nor the resources to travel back home for Thanksgiving. So, I did what any Real Southern woman would do; I got myself in the kitchen and fervently prepared our first Thanksgiving dinner. I had no recipes to follow, only a determination to provide my family with the best Thanksgiving meal possible. And, that’s exactly what I did! 

A Sweet Potato Pie Tradition That Spans Decades

Everything turned out well, especially the sweet potato pie. In fact, it was so good that I began baking sweet potato pies for local church events and school functions. Now, over three decades later my sweet potato pies continue to tickle the taste buds of countless, satisfied customers. From Dallas to Detroit, Southeast Texas to Iowa, New Jersey to New Orleans, and everywhere in between. We offer fresh-baked pies all year long for every occasion. Our sweet potatoes are hand selected and mixed with our perfect blend of proprietary ingredients. We provide our customers with the best sweet potato pie possible, which helps eliminate their need to try and re-create their grandmother's recipe. Our flaky pie crust is made from scratch, and we never add milk, evaporated milk, or sweetened condensed milk to our pie filling.
